Severe Storms Cancel Coronavirus Testing At Somerset County Site

Residents who had appointments will have them transferred to Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Raritan Valley Community College testing site.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Due to severe thunderstorms, the Somerset County Health Department’s coronavirus testing site at Raritan Valley Community College is closed on Thursday.

A flash flood watch has been issued for Somerset County through 2 p.m. on Thursday. The ground already remains saturated due to Tropical Storm Isaias and streams and creeks are running high. As a result, much of the area is more susceptible to flooding than usual.

Residents who had appointments on this day will have their appointments transferred to Thursday, Aug. 20 at the site at 118 Lamington Rd. in Branchburg. Additional testing sites can be found at covid19.nj.gov/pages/testing.

Testing, which is free of charge, is available to Somerset County residents, age five (5) and older. Residents seeking testing must schedule an at somerset-hunterdon.adlabscovidtest.com. Residents without Internet access can call 908-203-6014 for assistance.
