YMCA, Farmers to Families program providing food at four locations

CAPITAL REGION (WRGB) The YMCA and the USDA Farmers to Families program are working together to provide free boxes of food.

With help from the USDA program, the Y will offer 500 boxes of food at each of four locations, today and for the next two Fridays.

Each box weighs 30 to 40 pounds, and contains assorted fresh vegetables and fruit, pre-cooked protein/meat, chicken, and eggs, cheese, butter, cream cheese, and milk.

Pickup times and locations are 9:00am to 11am at the Troy YMCA (2500 21st Street, Troy NY 12180); 12:00noon to 2pm at Rensselaer's Riverfront Park (Rensselaer, NY 12144); 2:00pm to 3:30pm at the Greene County YMCA (35 Route 81, Hope Plaza, West Coxsackie NY 12192), and 5:00pm to 7pm at Albany County Plaza (260 South Pearl Street).
