Gifts of Happiness Group is Switching Gears

Naugatuck, CT - Now that all of the ladies that left their address in the Gifts of Happiness For the Women of Naugatuck Facebook group have been gifted, the group is switching gears.

Organizers have changed the name from Gifts of Happiness For the women of Naugatuck to #NaugyStrongLadies Spreading Happiness to Others. Amy Beck came up with the #NaugyStrongLadies and Carly Adomelis made the cover photo for the new group.

Tina Dambowsky asked me to share this update so maybe others can donate to our cause. There are now two things the group is helping with.

Here is the text of the message shared on the Facebook page:

***VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE***Good Morning ladies!! The last lady has been gifted!!!

In just 12 days 242 of us have been gifted and over 270 have been given. Please feel free to keep gifting each other, even if is just one item; you don't have to spend a lot to bring happiness to someone.

Now we switch gears and start spreading happiness to others.

There are going to be two ways of helping others.

My plan is to help out those in need of food and necessities in Naugatuck (and surrounding towns.) There is such a need for this right now. One member has already started helping one family out, but they need more help. What I'm asking from everyone is to donate $5 toward our fund for helping those that need food and necessities. If everyone donates just $5 we will have a good amount of money to start off.

I understand if you cannot donate and please do not feel obligated to do so. On Tuesday, I'll be opening a bank account for this but you can start donating to the cause now@Tina-Dambowsky Venmo Paypal.me/tinadambowsky PayPal. You can also send the money through Facebook Messenger. If you don't have access to those and still want to donate, I can come pick up your donation. Just private message me please.

If you know a family in need of food please private message me and I will make sure we get them some food and other necessities needed.

I will keep everyone updated with how much we have in our fund and how much is being spent. I'm very excited about this and I hope you are too.

The second part of this will be uplifting those who are going through a hard time emotionally. The person does not have to be in this group or from Naugatuck. I'm asking any member that has )someone they want help gifting to send me a private message and once a week (maybe twice) I'll pick at random one person to help spread happiness too.

How this will work is I will message you to submit a post with why you want to uplift this individual and what their likes are. Then anyone who wants to help out can donate an item or two to one big basket that the person posting will be responsible for putting together and delivering to the person they want uplifted. Doing it this way will make it better to have one nice basket and for those who want to help out but cannot afford a lot. When you submit your post, please put your address so members can drop items off to you.

I cannot express how grateful I am for all you ladies and how excited I am to get this part of our group started. Thank you everyone for making this group what it is. Now lets start spreading happiness to others.
