WATERFORD, N.Y. – Sleep products supplier Soft-Tex International has added a line of CBD-infused bedding products, including pillows, mattress protectors and mattress pads, to its SensorPEDIC national product portfolio.
The CBD-infused collection features Devan Chemicals’ proprietary R-Vital formulation, which is a zero-THC, lab-certified, 99.9% pure hemp-derived CBD microencapsulated into the product’s fabric. The microcapsules are activated by body pressure and skin friction, and open over time releasing CBD, which then interacts with skin receptors.
“With CBD exploding in other categories, we are very excited to bring the highest-quality, lab-tested CBD-infused bedding products to market as part of our SensorPEDIC national brand collection,” said Chris Marsh, chief sales and marketing officer at Soft-Tex.
The global cannabis market has been forecast to surpass $42 billion in legal sales by 2024. The growth in the category has a number of home furnishings and bedding companies looking to incorporate CBD into their products and marketing.
Headquartered in Belgium, Devan is a developer of specialty chemicals used in textiles. The company offers a selection of products for flame retardants, odor control, stain release, thermoregulation and allergen control.
