VERMONT — An escaped "high" risk sex offender who had been missing for over a week has been found, Vermont State Police say.

Dale Adams, Jr., 28, was located and put back in custody by officers from the Hartford Police Department on Saturday afternoon.

Adams broke the terms of his probation when he went missing from his approved residence in Perkinsville on May 6. Vermont State Police issued a warrant for Adams' arrest on Monday.

In their press release, police said Adams was at "high" risk of committing another sexual offense.
