Girls Inc. Participants Invited To Ringling Bros.

  • Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Girls participating in Girls Inc.

of Chattanooga's elementary-age afterschool programs have been invited by the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus to attend the March 15 show and receive other special benefits.

Before the show, the girls will attend Circus Fit, an educational program where they will learn how female performers stay fit and live healthy lifestyles. After the program, the girls will stay for a pre-show and then attend the main event as special guests of the circus.

Health education is a key component of Girls Inc.'s elementary-age afterschool programs. This year, girls are learning from Girls Inc.'s Sporting Chance curriculum, which helps girls develop basic sports skills and teaches them the importance of teamwork and having a competitive spirit.
