Thieves stole money, a gun, other items from numerous vehicles in Fosston, MN

UPDATE:

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received multiple theft reports from residents in Fosston, Minnesota today. Authorities say the thieves entered multiple vehicles and stole miscellaneous items, money and a handgun.

There is no known threat to the public.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents of Fosston who have home video surveillance systems to review footage from Tuesday evening (7-16-19) to early Wednesday morning (7-17-19) and contact the Sheriff’s Office if they notice anything suspicious.

Authorities also remind you to lock your vehicles and homes.

If anyone has information they are urged to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says they are getting a lot of calls from people living in Fosston saying their vehicle was broken into.

Officers are asking residents to check their vehicles and garages to make sure they are secure and have not been tampered with.

If you have been a victim of a crime, you are asked to report if to police right away. Police are also asking for residents who have home surveillance video systems to review video from the over night hours and contact them if you see anything suspicious.
