UPDATE: The alert has been canceled, authorities said.
A statewide Missing Adult Alert was previously issued for a 94-year-old Akron man with dementia.
Around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the man drove away from his home and never returned.
Police said the man has dementia and law enforcement was concerned for his safety.
