DeBrincat scored a power-play goal on two shots and went minus-3 in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Devils.
DeBrincat tied the game at 1-1 with a tally just 51 seconds into the second period. The 23-year-old winger is already one of the NHL's best goal scorers after depositing 32 tallies in 52 games last year. He'll feature in a top-line role with first-unit power-play time to begin the season, and he'll likely continue to find success with Patrick Kane feeding him prime passes.
