Niota - Roy Lee Wilson, 71, of Niota, TN passed away peacefully at home September 16, 2021. Roy was a member of Fairview Baptist Tabernacle in Sweetwater. He retired from American General Life Ins./Home Beneficial Life Ins. where he worked in management for 40 years . He loved spending his free time playing golf with his buddies at Springbrook Golf and Country Club. Singing with the Hymnsmen Quartet was one of his greatest joys for the past 21 years. He loved visiting churches and sharing God's word through music. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Madison.

Roy is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wilson; mother, Geneva Wilson; sister, Wilma Raley; brother in law, Ralph Raley; brother in law, Danny Caldwell; and step-son, Justin Gentry. He is survived by his wife Glenda Wilson; daughter Shannon(Ann) Wilson of Chattanooga; daughter Kim(Kevin) Tolson of Knoxville; step-daughter Amanda(Mickey) Walker of Parrotsville; granddaughter Madison Julian of Knoxville; step-grandson Caydan Gentry of Newport; nieces Tammy Kile of Sweetwater and Penny(Randy) Humphreys of Niota; and many other family and special friends.

You can pay your respects during a public visitation between 12-2pm on Tuesday, September 21st at Fairview Baptist Tabernacle in Sweetwater. Graveside services to be held after visitation at Sweetwater Memorial Park.
