Police Remind Public Of Stay At Home Order
Noting they have received “reports of individuals on beaches at public parks and generally out and about,” the police have reminded the public that the changes to the regulations do not come into effect until Tuesday.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service has been receiving reports of individuals on beaches at public parks and generally out and about for reasons not in keeping with the current stay at home and closure restrictions.
“The BPS, reminds the public, the changes to the regulations announced at last evening’s government Covid press conference, do not come into effect until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday 20th April.
“As such the current stay at home regulations as well as the closure of parks, beaches, playgrounds and the railway trail, remain in effect.
“You are still only allowed to exercise for one hour within one kilometer of your residence and no more than two people together. Mixing of households is still not allowed.
“Again, the stay at home order remains in effect. The changes to these regulations do not come into effect, until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday 20th April.”

The Premier and Minister of Health, neither of who have medical qualifications, say they are using data and medical science to decide what restrictions are in place. Dr Fauci and the CDC have said vaccinated families can get together, so why then do these 2 ignore data and medical science? When will vaccinated families who live in different households be allowed to gather in their bubble again? It’s safer than mixing with unknown people in grocery stores etc.
We should have just had a curfew so the partying stopped. Honestly, what harm is there going to a beach for a walk? The government would rather me walk on the road to get my exercise and risk my life.
Something is gone terribly wrong with the world we live in, when governments think they have a right to rule other peoples freedom of movement and take their stuff because some people get sick and die. People and other life forms have been dying thousands of years before we got here. They say over 99% of people who catch viruses recover who do not have any underlying health without any medication because their immune system is working for them. People are fools to think governments can stop death by taking away freedoms to socialize and gather as we choose. My only conclusion is our government is agents for the beast system . Do our police and regiment realize they are building and prison system for themselves and family also by just following orders.
It would seem to be wise that the Bermuda government require residents traveling into Bermuda or returning home, be tested fir COVID before they board an aircraft just as others have to do. Without doing this, residents are bringing the virus into Bermuda and then spreading it around the island
The government website does not state that if you are on a plane with someone who turns up with COVID, that you will be quartined as well at your own cost, for a time period that may be longer than your originally intend stay.
This is totally unfair to visitors and not transparent at all. I guess that’s why most flights in may are at this time empty.
There was a mother and her child at the long bay beach. Give me some money and I’ll document all the offenders and these house parties they post on social media! I’ll get their faces to and vehicles as proof.
Leave the mother and her child alone! It’s drama queens and ambulance chasers like you that set this world on fire! Why don’t you monitor the misuse of GP cars instead?
