Beaverton City Services Stay Open For Remote Business As Public Buildings Remain Closed

BEAVERTON, Ore. – As Washington County enters phase 1 of reopening, City of Beaverton services remain available for remote business by phone or online as preparations continue for safe building re-entry by visitors and staff.
Most city buildings, including City Hall, the Griffith Drive building and both library locations, will remain closed to the public for in-person visits through at least Sunday, June 21.
Some departments, such as the Beaverton Municipal Court and others, may begin to provide in-person services sooner, if it is safe to do, until a more systematic and widespread re-entry begins.
“We remain open virtually and continue to provide city services to residents and community members,” explained Mayor Denny Doyle. “Our first priority is health and safety. We want to be as prepared as possible with safeguards and processes in place when we open our doors and welcome guests.”

People are also encouraged to continue to practice physical distancing and wear face coverings in public when distancing isn’t possible.
Beaverton’s Emergency Declaration will continue to be extended bi-weekly as required in response to COVID-19.
