Women of color in #TimesUP call on everyone to #MuteRKelly.
@iSmashFizzle, advocating for #MuteRKelly, organized by women of color in the #TimesUp movement. The group is calling on corporations and venues associated with R. Kelly to cut ties with the singer over numerous allegations of sexual abuse.
We join the call to #MuteRKelly and insist on the safety + dignity of all women. We demand investigations into R. Kelly’s abuse allegations made by women of color + their families for two decades. We call on those who profit from his music to cut ties. #MuteRKelly #TIMESUP #WOC pic.twitter.com/TYmDRVIH00

White House Correspondent’s statement adds fuel to the fire of criticism.
Maybe the #WHCA should stop putting their company picnic on TV and then clutch their pearls when some people don't like it.

@marneyike, a community journalist in Illinois, calling out the White House Correspondents’ Association. The group put out a statement Sunday about comedian Michelle Wolf’s monologue at Saturday’s annual correspondents’ dinner, saying it was “not in the spirit” of the event’s spirit of unity. Wolf’s jokes had inspired heated debate from those who felt she was too biting toward Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and others who defended the role of comedy in speaking truth to power. The WHCA’s statement brought similar critiques.
I wrote about Michelle Wolf for the @nytimes. In summary: she did exactly what a comic is supposed to do. If the political classes don’t like it, that’s their problem. https://t.co/IJgZuO2PAn pic.twitter.com/3phli0oZ3u

NRA members can’t have guns with them during Pence, Trump speeches.
The NRA banned guns at their event for Mike Pence.
— Christmas Valente (@catvalente) April 29, 2018
I just don't understand. Why does the NRA want the Vice President to put himself in danger?
Wouldn't he be safest if every single person in the room had an open carry AR-15 for which they didn't have to pass a background check?
@catvalente, questioning the Secret Service’s ban on guns in the room when Vice President Mike Pence addresses the NRA at its annual meeting in Dallas this Friday. NRA members can bring their guns to the event, just not to the speech.
If only American schoolchildren could be given the same protection from gun violence these hypocrites demand for themselves.https://t.co/fYUnn1miGB

Logan Paul announces he’s done with daily vlogs.
@MikaylaSeptic, tweeting about Logan Paul, who announced Monday that he will no longer be posting daily vlogs on YouTube. The popular vlogger took a big hit in January after posting a video that showed the body of an apparent suicide victim in a Japanese forest.
