Eddie George is expected to be introduced as head football coach at Tennessee State at a press conference scheduled for Tuesday morning.

The press conference is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and we'll carry it live here.

George, 47, was a four-time pro bowl running back for the Titans from 1996-2003. He ended his career with Dallas in 2004.

He replaces Rod Reed at TSU, whose contract was not renewed after his 11th season.

George remained in Nashville after retiring from the NFL. He started an acting career, served as a television football analyst and, in 2005, began his own landscape architecture and design company.

More recently George became a member of the Montgomery Bell Academy Board of Trustees and was named chair of the real estate advisory committee for Music City Baseball, an organization trying to bring a major league team to Nashville.

Reed, 54, led TSU to a 2-5 record. The season ended Sunday with a 46-23 loss to SEMO. Reed's career record is 58-61.
