FBI offering $15,000 reward in 1986 murder of Menominee Tribe member

The Menominee Indian Tribe is holding a remembrance for a woman whose murder remains unsolved after 32 years.

Rae Elaine Tourtillott was 18 when she was killed in 1986.

She was last seen on Oct. 15, 1986. She attended a birthday party on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena. As the party was winding down, two people picked Rae up in a vehicle.

Rae was last seen getting out of the car near the Tomow Overlook off Old South Brand Road, according to the FBI.

Rae was reported missing the next day. Her body was found on April 9, 1987.

The FBI is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

On April 27, the Menominee Indian Tribe will hold A Gathering in the Remembrance of Rae Elaine Tourtillott. It's scheduled for 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. at St. Michael's Church on WI-47.
