The Tennessee Theatre is continuing its Summer Movie Magic that will showcase six classic films at the historic downtown venue throughout the summer.

Summer Movie Magic at the Tennessee Theatre kicked off its 20th year with Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo,” starring James Stewart and Kim Novak, on Friday, June 15, and Sunday, June 17. 

The six-movie summer series presented by Denark Construction also features “Grease” on Friday, June 29, and Sunday, July 1. o    July will also feature two other movies. They will be screening “Treasure of Sierra Madre” on July 20 and July 22 and “The Sandlot” on July 27 and July 29. 

Mighty Musical Monday on Monday, July 2 will feature the Mighty Wurlitzer organ played by Freddie Brabson and a special performance by flamenco dancer Lucia Andronescu in a celebration of Spanish dance, culture and music. Brown bag lunches are available in the lobby for $5 while supplies last.

The Tennessee Theatre will have a special announcement about retiring House Organist Dr. Bill Snyder and our plans to honor him this year alongside the theatre’s 90th anniversary celebration events. 

Tickets are just $9 for adults and $7 for both children under 12 and seniors 60 and over. Ticket subscriptions also are available for $45 for adults and $36 for children and seniors.
