NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Gov. Bill Lee has proclaimed Thursday a “Day of Prayer, Humility and Fasting” in Tennessee.
The proclamation “acknowledges the “pain, suffering and challenges Tennesseans are experiencing.”
Thursday’s day of prayer comes as state health officials are reporting signs of a new surge in COVID-19 infections.
Lee issued a similar proclamation in October of last year.
The governor’s proclamation ends by saying Tennesseans should “pause, humble ourselves and seek God’s guidance for the days ahead.”
