The body of a man from Steger, Illinois, was recovered from Cedar Lake Friday night, officials said.

Indiana Department of Natural Resources spokesman Tyler Brock said in a release that the department, as well as other agencies, were called out to the lake after the man reportedly didn’t resurface after he jumped out of a boat shortly before 4 p.m. Friday.

The body of Roberto Rodriguez, 39, of Steger, was found shortly before 9 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at 9:35 p.m. that night, a subsequent Lake County Coroner’s release said.
