The 2018 Artstreet logo was designed by Kimberly Vlies of Green Bay.

The logo for this year’s Artstreet comes from close to home.

Green Bay native Kimberly Vlies created the winning logo for the annual fine arts festival. Look for it on T-shirts, posters and other promotional materials for the popular free event Aug. 24-26 in downtown Green Bay.

Vlies, who works as a web and graphic designer in the Office of Marketing and University Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, wanted to capture “the spirit and bustle of a vibrant cultural event” with her design.

“The canopies are more than just traditional tents, but represent the individual treasures they contain. The flourishes symbolize how Artstreet positively overflows with both visual and performing arts of all subjects, styles, mediums, and expressions,” Vlies said in a news release.
