Cleveland State has released its their 2020 fall schedule. The Cougars will compete in four tournaments in September, October and November.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic cut their 2020 spring season short, the Cougars were finding great success. Golf reached as high as 16th overall nationally in the GolfStat NJCAA Division II rankings. Head Coach Miles Moseley’s squad will hope to bring the momentum from last season into the fall and spring.
Cleveland State will begin their 2020-21 campaign at The Harbor Club at Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga.
on Sept. 28-29 as they take on The Bulldog Classic, a tournament hosted by Georgia Military College. This is the first time that the Cougars have competed in this event since the rebirth of their program.
Most notable on the Cougars’ slate is the NJCAA National Championship Fall Preview Tournament in Plymouth, Ind. on Oct. 4-5. Cleveland State was invited to compete in the event which allows teams the national body are watching as teams that have a chance to appear in the National Championship in the spring to compete against one another early on in their year.
Also ahead for the Cougars, a chance to defend their title at the Eagle Invitational in Cohutta, Ga. on Nov. 2-3. Last season, Cleveland State tied for first at the event with Bethel University and Indiana University East.
