FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will celebrate its 42nd Greek Festival downtown this week after a two-year hiatus because of COVID-19.
The church will host a four-day festival at Headwaters Park Pavilion beginning Thursday.
Greek Fest hours from Thursday through Saturday are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 to anyone over the age of 16 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Admission is free from 11 a.m. to 4Â p.m. Thursday through Saturday and all-day Sunday.
Organizers say they will provide the full menu that patrons are used to enjoying including gyro, lamb, pastichio, moussaka, chicken or pork shish kabobs, spanakopita, tiropita, flaming Greek cheese, spicy feta dip and much more.
Pastries include loukoumades, kataifi, karidopita, paximadia, koulourakia, kourabiedes, melamakarona, tsoureki and their famous baklava.
There will be live music daily starting at noon and going throughout the evening.
Triada, Holy Trinity’s dance group, will perform Thursday through Saturday at 12:30 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m..
