Heavy Rain Submerges Roads in Central Arizona

Arizona residents experienced a variety of weather conditions across the state on Friday, November 29, including flooding, a tornado warning, and snow.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado warning for multiple cities near Phoenix, forecasting pea-sized hail and strong winds. Various flood advisories also went into effect on Friday.

This video, filmed by Randy Roberson, shows him driving through flooded roads in Tonto Basin, an area in central Arizona near the Tonto National Forest. Roberson said he was driving on the submerged road in a “significantly lifted truck,” but told Storyful it’s “never a good idea” to drive through floodwater.
