The Independent National Electoral Commission in Gombe State says it has made arrangements for donkeys, bicycles and motorcycles to distribute election materials in areas that are difficult to reach in Gombe State, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, told reporters in Gombe on Friday that electoral materials would be conveyed by donkeys and bicycles to villages in Yamaltu-Deba and Shingom local government areas of the state.
He said, “We will hire donkeys, bicycles and motorcycles to distribute election materials. This is because some of the areas lack access routes and INEC has made adequate arrangements in the area of logistics as well as other areas.”
