RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Several agencies responded to the scene of a death investigation in Rutherford County.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Rutherford County Fire and Rescue officials said they were called to the scene of a car fire outside a Dollar General on Lebanon Pike.

According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office a man was found dead behind the wheel of a white sedan. The car was removed from the scene and businesses in that strip mall have since reopened to the public.

No other details have been released at this time. The Sheriff and Fire Marshals office are conducting a joint investigation.
