When the new year hits, many people rush to buy a gym membership. Lucky for Bryan-College Station residents, there's a new fitness studio set to open its doors in February 2019.

is a rowing based fitness studio and the College Station franchise will be owned and operated by a pair of Aggies.

Currently you can only find Row House in New York and California, but Lindsey LeBlanc and her husband are ready to open a few in Texas.

"We will be one of the first franchises to open and we just think College Station is a great market to open up in," said LeBlanc. "We will also be opening two in Austin."

The workouts are 60-90% on the erg rowing machine. They then mix in body weight moves and hand weights up to 15 pounds.

"It's all low impact, but high intensity so it is good for anyone with injuries or joint issues It's also for anyone who's looking to lose weight, tone up or just get back in shape," explained LeBlanc.

The workout is focused around how fast you would be rowing if you were actually in water. The classes will also feature circuits that focus on your strokes per minute and your distance.

"It works over 85% of your muscle groups, your core, legs, glutes and other hard to reach areas that you want to tone up," said LeBlanc.

The LeBlanc's are hoping to open the studio in early February. They are offering a deal for the first 100 members who sign up. They will receive 30% off their membership for life.

"This discount will be the best it will ever be. IF you come more than four times a week, you're getting the rest of your classes for free," said LeBlanc.

will be located at 4001 SH 6 off Rock Prairie Road in College Station.
