Bravery Kick Off Tour, Plan Video With Animals

Band no longer fazed by big crowds.

MIAMI -- The Bravery are finally learning to brave performing.

"When we first started we'd play in front of 200 people and we were nervous," singer Sam Endicott said while in Miami for the MTV Video Music Awards (see [article id="1508507"]"Green Day Hug G-Unit, Neptunes Hand Out Ice Cream -- Backstage At The VMAs"[/article]). "Now we just played for 60,000 people and it didn't faze us. We're getting better."

And look for the Bravery to only improve further, as the New York dance rockers have just launched a two-month headlining tour of North America. Maximo Park, the (International) Noise Conspiracy and VHS or Beta are opening on various dates of the trek.

"Our live show is pretty different from the record, so we're excited," guitarist Michael Zakarin said. "People are surprised by the energy."

Just in time for the tour, the Bravery are releasing "Unconditional" as the third single from their self-titled debut album. The song first appeared on the band's Unconditional EP last year and has been a live favorite ever since.

"The idea of it was I was thinking about how when you're a kid you get this unconditional love and you spend the rest of your life trying to find that, but you can't because everyone's in it for their own thing," Endicott said. "It's kind of cynical."

The Bravery are also thinking past "Unconditional" to their fourth single, "Public Service Announcement."

"We're planning a dance video, but I don't want to talk too much about it," Endicott said. "There's going to be animals, possibly claymation."
