LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Baseball Head Coach Tony Rossi has announced four early signings for the Saints’ Class of 2025. Gunnar Meland, Arnad Mulamekic, Billy Rozakis, and Noah Wieczorek have all signed and returned their National Letters of Intent, and will enroll at Siena College next fall.

“We are excited to announce this year’s recruiting class of future Saints,” said Rossi. “This talented class is athletic, versatile and, most importantly, strong academically. We believe that we have signed a group with a history of success both on and off the field that we feel can make an immediate impact in our program.”

A 5-10, 180-pound outfielder from Bloomingburg, New York, Meland is a two-sport standout at Pine Bush. A 2019 All-State and All-Section honoree, he hit .424 on his way to capturing the Outstanding Hitter Award. Meland, who plays for the prestigious Northeast Pride program during the summer, enjoyed a breakout performance at the Prep Baseball Report’s New York State Games where he clocked a 60-yard dash time of 6.7 seconds, achieved an exit velocity of 96 miles per hour off the bat, and threw 87 miles per hour from the outfield. Also tabbed an All-State and All-Section selection in football, he rushed for 1,445 yards and 22 touchdowns to lead the Bushmen to the Section 9 Class AA Championship last fall.

“We’re excited to have Gunnar with us,” noted Rossi. “He has a plus arm, and the ball jumps off his bat. Gunnar is an athletic player who we feel will be a major contributor immediately.”

A 6-6, 210-pound lefthanded pitcher out of Rego Park, New York, Mulamekic was rated a top-five pitcher in New York, Top-300 pitcher in the country, and top-1000 overall prospect in his class by Perfect Game while starring for Monsignor McClancy. He posted an unblemished 0.00 ERA while averaging two strikeouts per inning last summer spanning numerous showcases and tournaments. Mulamekic, who plays his travel baseball with the New York Nighthawks, also stars in basketball and track in high school.

“Arnad’s fastball ranges from 86-87 miles per hour and has an ease to it, while his breaking pitch has a nice downward action,” explained Rossi. “He has a solid change-up in the 70-72 miles per hour range as well. Arnad is a real hard worker with a sturdy frame and arm action who has a high ceiling. We are excited and looking forward to watching his future development.”

Rozakis is a 6-0, 170-pound lefthanded pitcher from Brooklyn, New York who attends Xavier High School. A two-sport athlete who also excels in football, he plays his summer baseball with the New Jersey Rising Rebels.

“Billy has an outstanding fastball in the 85-87 miles per hour range to go along with a sharp, breaking curveball,” commented Rossi. “He is a top student who has a huge upside, and were looking for him to come in and make an immediate impact.”

Wieczorek is a 6-5, 210-pound righthanded pitcher out of Liverpool, New York who plays for Cicero-North Syracuse. Named a Perfect Game Northeast Region All-High School Underclass Honorable Mention selection this spring, he plays his summer baseball with Syracuse Sportszone. Wieczorek also plays basketball at C-NS.

“Noah is a big, strong right hander who is real loose,” said Rossi. “He has a mid-to-upper 80’s fastball with a real good breaking pitch. Noah is aggressive and challenges hitters, and has the ability to give us quality innings immediately. We are really happy to welcome him to our program and feel that he will become a major factor in a short period of time.”
