Baltimore police identify two men shot and killed during separate incidents hours apart

Baltimore police have identified two men shot and killed in separate incidents following a violent holiday weekend in the city.

Michael Barnes, 40, and David Blake, 23, were named as homicide victims Wednesday morning. Police found Barnes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body Monday night around 9:43 in the at the 3300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in the Ashburton neighborhood.

He was pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said.

A few hours later, around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Presbury street in the Easterwood neighborhood where they found Blake suffering from gunshot wounds

He also was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead shortly after he arrived, according to police.
