A Goodell man was arrested Sunday for taking more than $10,000 from an Elkhart bar earlier this month.

Todd Hambly, 39, entered The Hen House Pub n' Grub at 352 NW Main St. in Elkhart around 3:24 a.m. Feb. 9 through a back door, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said. The business was closed at the time and nobody was inside, the sheriff's office said.

Hambly broke into a safe, an ATM and a cash register and took more than $10,000, the sheriff's office said.

He was arrested Sunday on charges of first-degree theft and third-degree burglary. Bond was set at about $15,000. An attorney for Hambly was not listed.
