NRF Foundation Hires Curriculum Development Veteran as Director of Learning and Credentials

WASHINGTON--()--The NRF Foundation today announced that it has hired Shana Treger as director of learning and credentials in a new position for the National Retail Federation’s philanthropic arm. Treger will oversee development and expansion of educational materials for the Foundation’s RISE Up training and credentialing program.

Treger will be responsible for maintaining the relevance of the Foundation’s existing suite of credentials, creating new learning programs and contributing to the Foundation’s initiatives to provide resources that prepare people for retail jobs that lead to promising careers. She will identify and establish partnerships with key stakeholders to create objectives, programs, products and offerings that align with the retail industry’s workforce needs and meet the needs of a diverse set of training delivery partners and job seekers.

Treger previously directed professional education initiatives from planning to implementation for the education arm of the National Apartment Association. She has 15 years of experience growing professional education programs by as much as 250 percent while bridging crucial gaps between technical teams, creative workers and subject-matter experts. Treger has managed a variety of education projects ranging from mobile apps for blended learning to meetings and national conferences.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from American University and master’s in education and human development from George Washington University.
