Wednesday’s win over Berks Catholic is one Palmyra’s Lauren Wadas won’t soon forget.
That’s because Wadas scored four goals — and entered the Cougars’ record book — in the 10-0 victory.
Wadas’ fourth goal helped her hit the 100-goal mark for her career.
That makes her just the second Palmyra player to reach the milestone, trailing only former Cougars standout and Michigan player Kelly Fitzpatrick, who scored 155 goals in her career.
“It was a great feeling after scoring my fourth goal, knowing it was my 100th,” Wadas said. “I have to give credit to my team, though. If it wasn’t for them … I’m very lucky to have some great teammates. Without them I wouldn’t have a chance to reach the milestones I have.”
Livy Shoemaker, Anna Miller, Mia Julian, Alicia Battistelli and Jordyn Shank each added a goal for Palmyra.
Wadas, a senior, who is a Northwestern commit, was presented with the ball which she scored the 100th goal with at halftime.
“It was an awesome experience,” she said. “It’s been a dream of mine to play for Palmyra. I’ve been watching them since I was a young girl. To play at this level, it’s crazy.
“It just feels like a dream.”
