This WWII veteran in Corpus Christi wants 100 birthday cards for her 100th birthday

A World War II Army Air Force veteran living in Corpus Christi wants one thing for her 100th birthday — at least 100 birthday cards.

Claudia Cantu, of Uvalde, Texas, served in the Army Air Forces from 1942 to 1945.

Claudia Cantu was born in Uvalde and is living in Corpus Christi. She served in the Army Air Forces from 1942 to 1945, a news release from the Texas General Land Office said.

For her 100th birthday on Oct. 30, Cantu is asking her community to send birthday cards.
