Inc., a magazine which publishes weekly content about small businesses and startups in the United States, recently released their annual report outlining the 5,000 fastest-growing privately owned companies in the nation.

Companies were ranked according to their percentage revenue growth from 2015 to 2018, according to the report. California's fastest growing new company is NOM, an advertising and marketing company based in Los Angeles. NOM has had 11,996 percent growth with a total of $21.4 million in revenue.

The 5,000 companies come from over 25 different types of industry, including construction, real estate, and software. To earn a spot on the list, companies must have been generating revenue by March 31, 2015, and then had a minimum revenue of $2 million by 2018. Additionally, all the companies are privately held, for profit, and independent from any other larger company, according to Inc.

La Crescenta has exactly one company in the top 5,000.

Freestar had a revenue of $36.9 million in 2018.
