KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Michigan Works held its first job fair since the start of the pandemic in Kalkaska on Wednesday.

It took place at the new Pavillion and Open Space at Railroad Square.

Some 35 employers attended with job openings in the medical field and landscaping.

"People should come out to these because one they can find their job, their next career and it’s just really great to be able to meet their future boss or future employer,” Michigan Works Business Services Representative Marty Scarbrough said.

The Kalkaska Downtown Development Authority co-hosted the fair.

We’re told about 30 job seekers signed up to attend.
