CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The trailer and driver involved in Tuesday’s fatal pedestrian crash at Riverside Drive and College Street were found Tuesday night in Beechmont, Kentucky.

An inspection of the trailer determined that it was involved in the fatal crash which occurred around 10:42 a.m. on the same day.

Kentucky State Police and Clarksville Police Department worked together to secure search warrants for the trailer that enabled law enforcement to bring the trailer to Tennessee for processing by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Police identified the driver and are working to set up an interview.

The driver’s identity is not being released at this time.

According to CPD, the active investigation is still in its infancy, and releasing information tied to the case or making conclusions would be premature and potentially compromising to the investigation.

The pedestrian’s information is also not being released at this time.
