Norton - On Friday, October 16th, 2020, Helen Rhea, loving wife and mother of six children, passed away at the age of 74.

Helen Elaine (Hatfield) Rhea was born on March 27, 1946 in Brainerd Minnesota to Benjamin and Sophia (Schuler) Hatfield. In 1973 she married the love of her life, Randal Rhea Sr. They had six children, Ricky, Steven, Beverly, Sandra, Randal Jr. and Nicole. Helen spent most of her days, until her passing, with her husband running their business, Rhea’s Tree Service. She is remembered by her family for her kind spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand. Helen was there for those who needed it, and always answered her phone for family members far away who wanted to talk.

Helen was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Hatfield, her mother, Sophia Hatfield, her son, Ricky Nelson, and 6 of her siblings: Alfred Hatfield, Deloris Jones, Marjori Hatfield, Ralph Hatfield, Ronald Hatfield, and Marlene Newman.

She is survived by her husband, Randal Rhea Sr. New Almelo KS, her five children: Steven Nelson Elizabeth CO, Beverly (Mike) Elliott Garland TX, Sandra Nelson (John Robbins) Lenora KS, Randal Jr. (Kim) Rhea Las Vegas NV, and Nicole (Matt) Rushton Norton KS, 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Norton Christian Church, 208 North Kansas Ave. Norton, KS 67654.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Norton Christian Church, 208 North Kansas Ave. Norton, KS 67654
