Texas Tech’s Madison White added another, while teammate Hannah Anderson claimed her own Big 12 Conference award Tuesday.

White was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week, marking her fourth straight conference distinction, while Anderson secured Freshman of the Week accolades following a week which saw the Red Raiders down West Virginia 1-0 to claim the program’s first win against the Mountaineers on Oct. 10 and battle to a 0-0 tie against Kansas on Sunday.

After tallying a pair of clean sheets, including a scoreless draw in 110 minutes against the Jayhawks, White has shut out four of five Big 12 opponents she’s faced off against this season. The freshman’s 0.31 goals-against average is the best in the conference to go along with her No. 1 ranking in save percentage at .913.

Anderson made waves after scoring a penalty kick in the 72nd minute to lead Texas Tech to its first-ever road win over West Virginia. The Plano native converted her third penalty kick of the season.

The Red Raiders are scheduled to host TCU at 7 p.m. Friday at the John Walker Soccer Complex. The Texas Tech soccer program is scheduled to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
