Allegheny County Reports New Coronavirus Death

PITTSBURGH, PA — For the first time in four days, the Allegheny County Health Department on Wednesday reported a new coronavirus death. The death toll in the county now stands at 151.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 1, 828, up from 1,816on Tuesday and 1,805 on Monday.

Three hundred and twenty-four nineteen people people have been hospitalized in the county
during the outbreak, up from 319 on Tuesday.

With 570 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 442 in Westmoreland County, 220 in Butler County and 138 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,198. That's up from 3,183 on Tuesday and 3,156 on Monday.

According to the state Department of Health, 278 7 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and fifty-one in Allegheny County, 72 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and five in Washington County.
