GHISLAINE Maxwell is in witness protection because her life is at risk over the dirt she has on the rich and famous, conspiracy theorists claim.
They say the Brit socialite is being hidden away by the FBI because she has evidence of celebs engaging in sexual acts with underage girls.
The whereabouts of Maxwell has been a mystery since 66-year-old Epstein died in his jail cell in August while awaiting trial on a slew of sex trafficking charges.
The Sun has offered a £10,000 reward for information on her whereabouts after she disappeared amid accusations she acted like a "madame" for the shamed tycoon.

Ms Maxwell has repeatedly denied accusations against her and has never been charged.
In November, a lawyer representing several Epstein accusers told The Sun he believed the FBI was closely monitoring her whereabouts.
Spencer Kuvin said the FBI are building a strong case against her before any arrest and that they are following her every move.
But some believe the feds have already tracked her down and she is now co-operating with them in secret.
Some theorists say she fears for her life while other believe she is trying to strike some kind of deal with investigators.
There is absolutely no evidence to back up the bizarre claims - which have been made on various social news sites including Reddit.
However, on Thursday Prince Andrew's sex accuser Virginia Roberts claimed feds HAD informed her about a "credible threat” against her life.
That revelation came a day after she said "evil people" want to keep her "quiet", adding: "If something happens to me, don’t let it go".
“I have been informed from the F.B.I there has been a credible death threat against me,” she wrote on Twitter .
KEY WITNESS
With Epstein dead and the Prince's constant denials, Ms Maxwell has become the key witness to the whole sordid affair, reports news.com.
Her last-known whereabouts was reportedly a mansion in Massachusetts, in the US, where she was reportedly holed up with a tech executive.
However, the last time she was actually seen in public was at a yacht party in Monaco on June 9, where she was photographed rubbing shoulders with the likes of Paris Hilton.
In the meantime, conspiracists have been running wild with their ideas about where she could be.
One popular theory is that Ms Maxwell is working closely with Israel’s intelligence service.
A post on Reddit stated: “She’s Mossad like her dad”, referencing Robert Maxwell, the disgraced newspaper tycoon, who was also accused of being an Israeli spy.

Some even believe she is living in a secret underwater location in or around Long Beach, California.
A 4chan user posted in October that they had a “gut feeling” Ms Maxwell was operating a “secret sub hub”.
In a 2015 statement, Maxwell rejected allegations she ever acted as a procurer for Epstein.
Her spokesperson said "the allegations are untrue" and she "strongly denies allegations of an unsavoury nature, which have appeared in the British press and elsewhere."
