All tornado warnings have expired in the Mid-South.

Most of the WREG viewing area was under a tornado watch until early Friday.

At 10:11 p.m., trained weather spotters reported a tornado near Lake City, moving east at 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Then at 10:25 p.m., spotters reported a tornado near Milligan Ridge/Caraway, moving east at 40 miles per hour. At 10:44 p.m., local law enforcement reported a tornado near Cooter/Steele, moving northeast at 45 miles per hour.

A tornado was also spotted about ten miles southeast of Collierville, near Byhalia.

As of 12:30 a.m., severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect for Alcorn, Itawamba, Lee, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union, Dyer, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Henry, McNairy, Obion, and Weakley counties.

This storm system produced winds in excess of 70 miles per hour.

Damage was reported at Strayhorn Elementary School. Wind damage was also reported in Craighead County.
