Dog About Town: A pooch-friendly doubleheader and more things to do

The Frisco RoughRiders next Bark in the Park night, on Thursday, will be twice as fun: They’ll play a doubleheader to make up for a rained-out game, with the first one starting at 5:05 p.m. , Each game will be seven innings, and your ticket is good for both.

Dr Pepper Ballpark’s grassy outfield berm will be the doggy section during the games, which are against the Corpus Christi Hooks.

The first 500 pooches will receive a free Riders rope Frisbee, and it’s also Thirsty Thursday, with $1 domestic draft beers, $2 craft and import beers, and $1 Dr Pepper products until 8. Dogs must be friendly, leashed and vaccinated (bring a copy of your shot records), and there’s a limit of one per person. Their next dog-friendly night, the last one for this season, is Aug. 31.
