Bahrain claimed the 14th Junior Arab Volleyball Championship after defeating Oman 3-0 in the final last night in Amman, Jordan.
Bahrain won the sets 25-20, 25-14 and 25-18.
This was Bahrain’s third Arab title in four championships – they had won it in 2011 in Egypt and in 2013 in Tunisia.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Mohammed Harwana won the best setter award in the championship, while both Hassan Al Shakhori and Mohammed Jassim won best position three awards. The overall player award went to Mohammed Al Abbar.
The Bahrain team will return today and will be accorded an official reception by top officials.
