Coronavirus NJ: New Jersey Natural Gas offers to help pay gas bills

WALL - New Jersey Natural Gas is offering assistance to help pay the natural gas bills of those who experiencing unexpected financial hardship because of the coronavirus.

The aid is part of the company's Gift of Warmth program that helps low-income customers. A one-time grant of up to $500 is available.

Since it was created in 1988, the program has helped more than 23,000 New Jersey Natural Gas customers with their heating bills.

"Our customers count on us to be there for them, now more than ever,” said Steve Westhoven, president and chief executive officer of New Jersey Natural Gas, in a statement.
