Volunteers spend Memorial Day weekend finishing long-awaited home repairs for World War II veteran

The group, Soldier's Angels, said they were grateful to help out the family.

SAN ANTONIO — Dozens of volunteers spent time away from their families Saturday morning to help Alfred Guerra, a U.S. Army veteran who served in World War II, back into his home.

The 95-year-old had to move out about a year ago because his home needed extensive repairs.

Eyewitness News Reporter Jordan Foster was there and talked to the volunteers about why they showed up. Watch the below video for more.
