The City of Superior is still trying to make sense of the shooting at the Agrex Grain Elevator, Sunday night. That's why faith leaders from throughout Nuckolls County gathered together to heal, pray, and remember. Hundreds came together for the vigil to hear the music, verse, and prayer, pulling the aching community together. Jackie Albertson is still reeling from Thursday's news. Her sister, Sandy Nelson was one of two people killed in the gunfire. Albertson said her sister was proud of her work in the Ag community."When it comes to work, she does her work. When it comes to play she plays. But first of all it's her family. She loves them," Albertson said. As the songs and scripture give way to the night, Albertson said her family feels loved through all the heartache. She said the community's support means everything."We feel blessed to have this many people to come together. We'll work this out, we'll figure it out. It's what small communities do," she said. That community support continued immediately after Sunday's service with a free-will donation dinner, all the money going to the victim's families.
