An arrest has been made in the shooting of Connie Freeman on Monday.
At 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, Crime Suppression Unit, K-9 Unit, and Echo Team located and arrested her boyfriend, 37-year-old Xavier Tyrone Burdette, at 2603 Dodson Ave.
Burdette has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Chattanooga police officers responded to a domestic-related shooting at 1:18 p.m. Monday at 3206 12th Ave.
They found Ms. Freeman, 29, suffering from a single non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the right shoulder/neck area. She was transported to Erlanger Hospital for treatment and was later listed in stable condition.
