KENDALL COUNTY, IL — More coronavirus cases have been reported from the Kendall County Jail, with 13 more inmates and four staff members testing positive as of Saturday.

One inmate has been taken to an area hospital for precautionary measures, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said in a release. The outbreak began when eight inmates, all housed in the same unit of the jail, tested positive for the virus on Wednesday.

They were all experiencing flu-like symptoms and were subsequently tested for COVID-19. The eight were immediately isolated and were given medical attention in the jail. The remaining two inmates in that housing unit that tested negative had been quarantined and are being monitored for symptoms.
