Albany Jr. High/Sr. High student tested positive for COVID-19

ALBANY, Texas — An Albany Jr. High/Sr. High student tested positive for COVID-19.

Albany ISD said the student was last on campus on Friday.

The health department will contact any individuals determined to be in close contact with the infected student.

Those that were in close contact, as determined by the health department, will remain off campus for up to 14 days to ensure they do not have the virus.

According to the state health department, there is only one active case in Shackelford County as of Tuesday.
