AMANDA: AT OVIEDO HIGH SCHOOL, OFFICERS ARE INVESTIGATING A STUDENT ACCUSED OF BRINGING POT-LACED COOKIES TO SCHOOL. SEMINOLE COUNTY SCHOOL OFFICIALS SAY IT HAPPENED LAST THURSDAY. ACCORDING TO THE OVIEDO POLICE REPORT, A STUDENT HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER EATING THE COOKIES. >> OBVIOUSLY THOSE ARE BANNED AND NOT ALLOWED AT SCHOOL, AND ILLEGAL. AMANDA: THE 17-YEAR-OLD SUSPECTED OF BRINGING THE COOKIES TO SCHOOL NOW FACES SEVERAL CHARGES. ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATORS, THE COOKIES TESTED POSITIVE FOR THC. OFFICERS SAY HE HAD THEM IN A BAG AND SHARED THEM WITH SEVERAL OTHER STUDENTS. >> THOSE STUDENTS WOULD OBVIOUSLY BE DISCIPLINED BASED UPON OUR STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT. WE’RE NOT ABLE TO TALK ABOUT STUDENT DISCIPLINE SPECIFICALLY. AMANDA: ACCORDING TO THE CODE OF CONDUCT STUDENTS COULD FACE SUSPENSION, EXPULSION OR ALTERNATIVE PLACEMENT, IT DEPENDS ON THE SEVERITY OF THE CRIME.
