The Bastard Executioner is a period drama that follows a warrior knight sworn to King Edward III of England. The character vows to lay down his sword, but "is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all" when he cannot escape the violence of war.

Barclay directed 15 episodes of Sons of Anarchy, including the show's penultimate episode scheduled for December 2. He is a two-time Emmy-award winner, and has also directed for series In Treatment, NYPD Blue and Glee, among others.

Sutter and Sagal star as Otto Delaney and Gemma Teller Morrow, respectively, on Sons of Anarchy. The crime drama premiered in September 2008, and its seventh and final season airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
